I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Got my taxes done in about 30 minutes and my refund direct deposited. Couldn’t be easier.
I’ve been using Turbo Tax for many years, and am still very satisfied with this product. I will use it again next year.
When I load Turbo Tax into my computer, it finds all my data from the previous year, from personal information to carry-forward deductions. The “interview” process is simple and straightforward.
There is one annoying feature. The software keeps trying to sell me an add-on for calculating state taxes. I live in Texas, which has no state income tax. I would think the software would figure that out from my address or at least from my first negative response.
Product did the work we needed at a price we could afford. It was delvered within a week of ordering.
The steps were easy to follow and the IRS accepted it first time submitted.
The 2009 version was harder to use than earlier year versions of Turbo Tax Basic. For example reviwing entries was difficult because there was no ready access to forms so I had to go through the return each I checked my entries.

Do you want direct-deposit of your refund? Then TurboTax asks permission to share your income tax return with Intuit, the maker of TurboTax. This is so that they can offer their debit card and other stuff you don’t want. If you do not give them this permission then they don’t show you the direct-deposit option either!
Intuit is abusing their position as the dominant tax software maker to gain access to your confidential information. This is probably illegal.
