This is the third time I have purchased Family Tree Maker and I still think they have an awesome product. The first time I bought it was almost 18 years ago back in the stone age with floppy disks. LOL. FTM2010 is a great version. I love what they have done with the new individual profile page showing a lot more information. This is a great improvement over the older versions. The upgrade of my FTM files went through without a hitch and it imported all the files fine. No issues. Very please with the software and would recommend it to a beginner or advanced user.
I haven’t used any version of FTM in years. My main reason for purchasing 2010 is the ability to download all of my family tree information from [...] including documentation. So far that feature works great. I do have some issues with duplicating information but I’m willing to work through those for the ability to have my complete tree saved to my computer.
I have used Family Tree Maker for years – a few days ago I upgraded to Family Tree 2010 – I have never had trouble with past upgrades but this upgrade is hard to work with – first it take forever to load – then once it is loaded the format is hard to work with – In fact it is so bad I kept my old FTW on my computer and will use it – the $60.00 I spent on the upgrade was worthless.
Waited 3 weeks it never arrived, money was returned to account after 3-4 messages
Waste of time
I like this product in general, however I have liked previous FTM product better. Earlier editions I found easier to work with not as much learning curve for earlier product by FTM
